On March 3, 2007, I attended a ceremony that celebrated
the solstice and gave participants the opportunity to concentrate
on goals and wishes for the months ahead. It so happened that the
night coincided with a full eclipse of the moon. We had the privilege
of watching the moon as it reemerged and cast off the shadows that
had kept it hidden. The evening was magical.
As we instructed the universe on the nature of our expectations, each of us was obliged to focus directly on the things we believed would lead us to the road of inner and outer harmony. We were movingly and expertly led through this journey by Raven Lamoreux-Dodd, who combined a rich understanding and appreciation of ancient ceremony with an awareness of the stresses of the world of today. Raven instructed us on the qualities of long-used herbs, the role of nature and the winds, and the powers of belief that have guided man (woman) kind from the beginning of time. The experience was utterly unique, and, I am happy to report, that I have seen dramatic positive progress toward my goals since I put them out, with Raven’s guidance, to the universe.
